Ecologicalapproach

Imagine a conserved and upmarket holiday location and realise it within the scope of a citizen’s environmental approach, such is the leitmotiv of the residence Le Grand Bois.
The development of the area is part of the natural vegetation and topography of the site. Located in the area of Bec d’Allier, the residence Le Grand Bois in deed benefits from a natural and intrinsic beauty to be conserved and valued.

The residence**** Le Grand Bois is described as the Green Key.

The Green Key is an environmental management label for tourist accommodation carried out by the Foundation for Environmental Education since 1998. It awards campings, hotels, holiday homes and tourism residences for their dynamism in environmental issues.

The cottages of the residence are constructed of solid timber, ecological and recyclable material, healthy for its inhabitants. The number of accommodations is purposely limited so as to offer a human size holiday venue where nature occupies a predominant place.

Besides, the area is equipped with a biological treatment plant for treating waste water.

This is because we want to preserve these exceptional natural spaces for future generations that our vigilance expresses everyday:
  • practising environmental management
  • using ecological paper for our communications
  • using energy-saving bulbs
  • using biological insecticide
  • using electric service vehicles

An eco-citizen management that we invite you to respect
  • By limiting your car travel within the residence
  • By practising selective sorting by using containers provided for this purpose
  • By ensuring not to throw paper and litter in the nature
  • By avoiding leaving taps open unnecessarily
  • By switching off lights and lowering heaters when you are not around so as to save energy
